Our Hotel Petit Pas of Andorra is the scene throughout the year of many cultural events, festivals and fairs that combine tradition and modernity. It allows visitors to have the opportunity to attend a concert, exhibition or a festival at all times.
We like to keep up with the different conferences held in the permanent exhibition room of Andorra, as well as the International Musique Festival of Encamp, the Music and Jazz Festival in Escaldes-Engordany, and the festivals of Meritxell.
Also, many folk manifestations are preserved in this country. The “Festa Mayores", that occurs mainly during the months of July and August, transforms this beautiful country where people do not hesitate to share their traditions with those who chose Andorra as a holiday destination.
The Culture of Andorra and of Encamp goes well beyond the one shown in the museums you can see it around you in the street : The one that marks the programming of the different seasons of theatre, musicals and also the one that influences the cultural entities.
The Roman Art of Andorra.
During your stay in our hotel in Encamp, you will also discover the architectural, cultural and popular heritage of Andorra and Encamp. Here, art coexists with nature, traditional culture and modern art events. There are over 40 churches and medieval bridges:
The church of Santa Coloma was originally built in the tenth century. This is one of the most representative churches of Romanesque Art in Andorra.
La Casa de la Vall is the headquarters of the "Consell General de les Valls d'Andorra" built in 1580 as a noble house with a defense tower, for the Busquets family.
The Shrine of Nuestra Señora de Meritxell, after having burned in 1972, the sanctuary is now a mixture of styles designed to blend into the landscape.
We also recommend the visits of the churches of Sant Climent de Pal (La Massana), Sant Joan de Caselles (Canillo), Sant Martí de laCortinada (Ordino), Sant Miquel d’Engolasters (Escaldes-Engordany), Sant Romà de les Bons (Encamp) Sant Serni de Nagol (Sant Julia de Loria) (XIth century).
